CBR Media is proud to welcome Asian karting star Katrina Ee into their lineup of race driver representatives. Ee, who hails from Malaysia and Hong Kong, started in the sport at the age of 7 and has been racing competitively throughout Malaysia and internationally since the age of 9. The rising talent has also recently been inducted into the prestigious ‘More than Equal Driver Development Programme’, a non-profit initiative co-founded by former F1 driver, David Coulthard, looking to develop the first female Formula 1 World Champion.
At the age of 12, the young karter secured her first two karting titles claiming both the IAME Series Asia Junior and Rotax Max Challenge Malaysia Junior Challenge titles. The following year in 2023 further highlighted her talent, as she secured three Junior Asian titles becoming the Rotax Trophy Junior Asian Champion, IAME Series Junior Asian Champion and Rok Cup Junior Asian Champion. Her current title wins highlight the great potential she has in the sport, but now she is taking on higher levels of competition overseas.
Now at just 14, Ee has made impeccable progress and remained consistent throughout her first season outside of Asia. She started the year racing across the Middle East and Europe for the first time in her career, competing in 6 rounds of the Champions of the Future Academy Programme. The rest of the year saw her competing in other karting series throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, with her final race of the season coming up this week at the IAME Warrior Finals in Spain.
