- Macau driver looks to replicate 2019 success in Macau Grand Prix Greater Bay Area GT Cup
- Breathtaking Contempo Concept-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3 to take on the Guia Circuit
- Tse aims to finish 2023 racing campaign on a high at home circuit
Kevin Tse has confirmed his entry to the upcoming Macau Grand Prix Greater Bay Area GT Cup (GT3), marking his return to the Guia Circuit for the first time since 2019. The local Macanese driver enjoyed a phenomenal season at the 2023 British GT Championship, achieving a class podium finish in each of the 9 rounds he took part in and missing out the Silver-Am Drivers’ Championship by merely 1 point. Tse will be seen in action on the famous Guia Circuit on the opening weekend of the iconic Macau Grand Prix 70th Anniversary celebration, from the 11th to the 12th of November 2023. He has teamed up with Toro Racing and will be looking to end his 2023 racing season on a high in the #18 Contempo Concept-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Having visited the challenging Guia Circuit countless times over the years, the local driver is no stranger to the Macau track. His most recent venture at the Macau Grand Prix ended in jubilation, when he claimed the top spot of the podium at the 2019 Greater Bay Area GT Cup, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT4. His experience around the 6.1 km track will be monumental in his efforts, given the stiff competiton in this year’s Greater Bay Area GT Cup.
Although Tse drove his entire British GT campaign in the McLaren 720S GT3, he is highly experienced with the Mercedes-AMG GT3, having claimed back-to-back podiums at the previous two runnings of the Bathurst 12 Hour in the car from the German marquee. This will play dividends given the limited track time and little to no room for error around the narrow streets of Macau.
Tse is looking to maximise his efforts at the upcoming event, having also undertaken a test with the team Toro Racing to familiarize himself with his car. The local hero will be instantly recognizable on track, with his Mercedes-AMG GT3 sporting a stunning blue and pink Contempo Concept livery. His is eager to make his racing return to Macau after 3 years and fight for one of the most coveted titles of the motorsport calendar. Tse’s return to his home race at the Guia Circuit will be available worldwide via live stream on the official Macau Grand Prix website as well as broadcasted to several local TV stations
